Dr. Uwe Bandey

Dr. Uwe Bandey is working in the area of offences regarding accounting law, audit law and fiscal law. He is specialised in the representation of auditors and auditing companies in professional supervisory proceedings.

He studied law at the Philipps-Universität in Marburg from  1982 to 1989 and obtained his doctor’s degree 1992 at the institute of trade-, commercial- and labour law. He completed his legal traineeship within the District oft he Regional Court in Darmstadt in 1995.

After his admission to the bar in 1995 he worked at an international law firm in Frankfurt with focus on capital markets law.

In 1997 he joined PwC GmbH audit company in Frankfurt/Main. As inhouse counsel he worked in the technical department of law, accounting and auditing. In 2000 he switched to the department of litigation. He worked on all aspects of professional liability of auditors, tax advisors, attorneys and business consultants. He was focused on risks resulting out of potential civil liabilty cases, professional liability proceedings at the German Chamber of Public Accountants (Wirtschaftsprüferkammer) and the Auditor Oversight Body (Abschlussprüferaufsichtsstelle) as well as  the defense against criminal allegations regarding professionals. In addtion  he was responsible for the insurance of the PwC group in Germany. In 2013 he became partner and head of the litigation department of PwC Germany.

Dr. Uwe Bandey joined the law firm of DIERLAMM Rechtsanwälte as Counsel in January 2022.
